Christopher Ward Recaps Success at British Watchmakers’ Day 2026

Christopher Ward has concluded its participation in British Watchmakers’ Day 2026, which saw over 1,800 enthusiasts and 48 brands gather at Lindley Hall. The brand successfully sold out of the limited edition C1 Loco 7326, with all ten pieces finding owners within 24 minutes of the doors opening. CEO Mike France and Technical Director Frank Stelzer were in attendance, with France previewing upcoming unreleased timepieces to visitors throughout the event. The newsletter also highlights the growth of the Alliance of British Watch & Clock Makers, noting that sector sales reached approximately £200m in 2025 according to the Bellwether survey. The Alliance, co-founded by Mike France, Roger Smith, and Alistair Audsley, plans to launch a new careers hub to support technical talent in the industry. Additionally, Christopher Ward staff engaged in a "horological bingo" challenge, identifying rare pieces like the C900 Mono-Pusher and the Alliance 01 among the attendees.
