CIGA Design Announces the Falcon Skeleton Automatic for March 29 Release
CIGA Design has announced the upcoming launch of the Falcon, a new skeleton automatic timepiece scheduled for release on March 29. The watch features a 43.5mm stainless steel case with a slim 9.5mm profile, characterized by open-worked lugs and symmetrical crown guards. The design utilizes a mix of finishes, including micro-sandblasted surfaces and vertical satin graining to provide visual contrast.
The Falcon's dial is defined by a layered bezel with polished numerals and markers that rise above a recessed matte ground. This structure is complemented by a raised glass that draws attention to the internal mechanics. The watch is powered by the self-developed Caliber CD-02, which is housed within a transparent support to create the appearance of a movement suspended in mid-air.
The movement itself features micro-sandblasted bridges, chamfered edges, and a circular base plate designed with sixty gear-like teeth to serve as a minute-and-second field. This open-work approach ensures the mechanical components remain fully visible from the front. CIGA Design is currently offering early access registration via their official website ahead of the formal March launch date.
