Nordic Marine Instruments Unveils the LUNØR Moonphase Watch
Nordic Marine Instruments has officially revealed the LUNØR, a new moonphase watch inspired by the Nordic night sky and the aurora borealis. The timepiece features a 39mm stainless steel case with the brand's signature Mørk finishing and is powered by a Miyota 9015 automatic movement equipped with a custom 59-tooth moonphase module. A unique "Måneblik" moon window provides an additional view of the moon, while both the front and case back are protected by sapphire crystal.
The watch incorporates high-end luminous details, using C3 Super-LumiNova for the moon disc and BGW9 for the hands and indices to mimic the illumination of the aurora. It comes standard on a dial-matching genuine Italian leather strap, though a stainless steel bracelet is also available. The design emphasizes visibility and texture, aligning with the brand's focus on marine-inspired instrumentation and Nordic aesthetics.
Pre-orders for the LUNØR are scheduled to open on March 25 at specific global times, including 9:10 AM EST and 3:10 PM CET. Nordic Marine Instruments is offering an early access price of $799 USD for the first 48 hours, after which the watch will retail for its regular price of $899 USD. Additionally, customers who order before the end of April will receive a free stainless steel bracelet valued at $200 USD.
