REC Watches has announced the upcoming launch of the Bullitt 558, a limited-edition timepiece crafted with authentic metal from the iconic Bullitt Mustang. The watch serves as a tribute to the Mustang featured in the 1968 film's famous car chase and to Steve McQueen’s character, Frank Bullitt. Designed to capture the spirit and aesthetic of that cinematic era, the watch incorporates discreet Mustang design cues and period-correct details meant to reflect what McQueen would have worn in 1968. The timepiece is powered by the in-house RC-B558 movement, which was engineered exclusively for this specific release. This movement is certified Swiss Made and features colimaçonnage finishing, a skeletonised barrel visible from both sides of the watch, and a specially engineered oversized concave rotor. While a specific launch date was not provided, the brand is offering early access and an exclusive 48-hour launch offer to those who join the official sign-up list.
