Sartory Billard Debuts SB10 50-50 Grind Inspired by Skate Culture

Sartory Billard has announced the SB10 50-50 Grind Edition, a jumping hour timepiece created in collaboration with Watchmakers United and the Skateboard Museum of Geneva. Inspired by 1990s skateboarding culture, the watch features a unique cabochon crafted from genuine skateboard deck plywood and grip tape. Each piece is unique due to the natural variations in the layered wood and the granular texture of the grip surface, with wood cutting handled by German luthier Martin Krause. The technical specifications include a 39.5 mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 11.5 mm and a lug-to-lug measurement of 44 mm. It is powered by a Swiss automatic La Joux-Perret movement featuring a 55-hour power reserve and a patented jumping hour mechanism. The watch is water-resistant to 80 meters and comes with a Sartory-Billard rubber strap available in seven different colors. This edition is limited to 50 numbered pieces and is priced at CHF 3,700 excluding taxes. It will be available exclusively through Watchmakers United. The brand will also showcase the full SB10 collection, including the 50-50 Grind, Disco Ball, and Black Sapphire versions, at a dedicated skate-shop-themed pop-up store in Geneva during Watch Week from April 13–18.
