Straum Debuts Limited Purple Borealis and Titanium Jan Mayen Series
Straum has announced the Jan Mayen Titanium Purple Borealis, a limited edition of 200 unnumbered pieces. The watch is inspired by STEVE, a rare atmospheric phenomenon associated with the Northern Lights that manifests as a purple glow. The dial features a gradient from deep palatinate purple to rose violet applied over the brand's signature Arctic texture and is paired with a color-matched purple FKM rubber strap.
This release coincides with the introduction of Grade 5 titanium across the entire Jan Mayen Arctic series. These titanium models feature a combination of bead-blasted and polished finishes, offering a lighter and tougher alternative to previous steel versions. The brand is also moving the Aurora Sky, Meltwater Teal, Alpine Glow, and Tundra models into their permanent core collection, available in both titanium and stainless steel.
Customers now have access to a significantly expanded catalog with 85 possible combinations across five dials, two case materials, and various strap options including a stainless steel bracelet and eight colors of quick-release FKM rubber straps. Pre-orders are currently open on the Straum website, with deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-July 2026.
