SYE explains the development process behind their sophisticated Fastback strap, which was created in collaboration with the renowned French manufacture Jean Rousseau. While other manufacturers suggested using rubber, SYE insisted on a high-end combination of leather and metal to match their watches. The resulting strap utilizes a 3D-printed polymer piece to serve as a transition between a steel insert and the flexible leather, ensuring durability without sacrificing comfort. The collection features premium materials including Novonappa leather from the Haas tanneries in Alsace, a specialty leather owned by the Chanel group known for its double tanning and natural patina. SYE also offers matte leathers tanned by Jean Rousseau alongside options with more pronounced grains. Customers can currently choose from a selection of 10 unique strap variations to personalize their MOT1ON timepieces.
