Vaer Introduces Comprehensive Sizing Guide for its Core Case Designs

Vaer has released a new comprehensive watch sizing guide to assist customers in finding the ideal fit for their daily rotation. Co-founders Ryan Torres and Reagan Cook developed the guide to address frequent questions regarding how the brand's wide range of case sizes looks and feels on the wrist. The guide is available via a dedicated web page and through pop-ups located on every product page on the Vaer website. The brand currently offers five core case designs ranging from 36mm for smaller wrists to 42mm for medium-to-large wrists. Vaer emphasizes that their measurements refer to the case diameter and do not include the crown or lugs. Notably, all current Vaer models feature a uniform 20mm lug width, regardless of case size, allowing customers to easily swap nylon, rubber, and leather straps between different watches in their collection. Vaer explicitly prioritizes smaller case sizes compared to modern mainstream trends, inspired by mid-century aesthetics from the 1950s through the 1970s. The company highlights that smaller watches are often more practical for outdoor activities like surfing or golfing due to their slim, low-profile design. Additionally, the brand cites historical precedents for smaller timepieces, noting that military watches worn during WWII and the Vietnam War were typically sub-35mm for combat practicality.
