Venezianico to Launch Nereide Verdigris with Artisanal Oxidized Brass Dial
Venezianico has announced the upcoming launch of the Nereide Verdigris, a new timepiece inspired by the natural oxidation of metals found in Venetian architecture. The watch features a unique dial crafted from oxidized and hand-flamed brass, resulting in irregular textures and a deep color palette of green, turquoise, and blue. Because of the artisanal chemical process, each individual dial possesses a unique surface pattern and three-dimensional appearance.
The Nereide Verdigris is powered by the Swiss Made Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, chosen for its reliability and precision. To complement its sporty aesthetic, the watch is fitted with a color-matched rubber strap that echoes the tones of the verdigris patina. This model is priced at $1,395, with taxes included in the total cost.
The initial release will be limited to a first batch of 500 pieces. The brand is currently offering a three-day countdown to the official launch, providing a preview for interested collectors. The company also maintains a physical atelier in San Donà di Piave, Italy, where visitors can view their collections in person during standard business hours.
