William Wood Highlights Four Timepieces Inspired by British History
William Wood Watches highlights the historical inspiration and unique craftsmanship behind four specific timepieces in their collection. The Great Fire of London Watch draws visual cues from the clock face of Big Ben and features a genuine £2 commemorative coin embedded in the caseback. The Dunkirk Watch was created in collaboration with the Massey Shaw London Fireboat and contains an actual piece of the boat's 1940 engine within its construction.
The brand also showcases technical and creative caseback designs in their Triumph and Fire Exit models. The Triumph Heat chronograph utilizes a Swiss-made Sellita SW510 movement with a caseback engraved with the phrase 'In case of fire break glass.' Meanwhile, the Fire Exit Watch features a mechanical spinning disc depicting the iconic fire exit sign figure running through an open doorway, designed as a playful take on safety signage.
