Honestly, for most people, the difference in "smoothness" between a 28,800 and 21,600 beat rate is pretty negligible unless you're really staring and dissecting. I'd rather have a rock-solid movement like the Miyota 9015 in a Traska than a slightly smoother sweep with more service headaches in some obscure high-beat. That said, a high-beat like in some Christopher Ward pieces is undeniably elegant.

Honestly, once you get a high-beat movement like a Miyota 9015 in a Traska or Nodus, it is hard to go back. That smoother sweep just makes the watch feel more premium on the wrist.

Forget the sweep, it is more about the thinner profile you get with 9-series movements or an ETA. Lower beat stuff like the NH35 usually means a chunkier case that wears like a brick.
